Day 1: Feb 08 Preview of the New Year Eve with Nomad family
Meet in Ulaanbaatar with our representatives drive out of Ulaanbaatar and meet Nomad family members and hostess will cheer you by Mongolian traditional milk tea and pot roast. After that you will start work and help to them because that day is very busy because New Year Eve according to the Lunar Calendar. You will enjoy whole day with nomad family as their family member. And then visit to the neighbor nomad family by horse. Overnight in the ger of the nomad family (L/D)
Day 2: Feb 09 The First Day of the New Year
This morning Mongolians orientate and men climb the nearest hill or a mountain to see the first sun of the upcoming year to be more wealthy, in good health and full of success. It is a day Mongolians wear their nicest national dress “Deel”. Hostess makes traditional milk tea and offer best of it first to the earth, then to their shrine, next to the oldest person of the family or host of the family and then serve each member of the family. And then people greet each other by age category younger people come to elders at traditional way of arm greeting. The gathered people in the nomad family play traditional game colourful frogs with the ankle bones, snapping ankle bones, racing horse, flicking ankle bones. You will easy to learn many different games and enjoy the Mongolian Culture. Overnight in the ger of the nomad family. (B/L/D)
Day 3: Feb 10 Second Day of New Year
Breakfast with nomad family members and say Good bye to them. And then drive back to Ulaanbaatar. End the trip. (B)
Mongolian Lunar New Year is the second most important national holiday of Mongolia. The herders celebrate the new year widely with tradition of greetings with snuff bottle exchanges and arm greetings. Therefore the highlights for this tour and celebration are playing traditional games, receiving gifts just for visiting and traveling on horse. The tour is a great chance to experiencea Mongolian custom and winter while traveling in a comfortable transport and staying at nomadic family not in touristic area.

Accommodation in a hotel or hostel in Ulaanbaatar, hotel extras, such as telephone calls, bar bills and laundry services, travel insurance, medical insurance, visa application fees, alcoholic beverages, personal expenses such as items of a personal nature, gratuity to local guides and drivers, airfare or train ticket, airport taxes, excess baggage charges (over 33pound / 15kilo), changes of arrival/departure flights, additional services, any charges of force majeure beyond our control (e.g. imposition, quarantine restrictions, etc.), optional excursions unless stated in your itinerary, etc…
Terms & Conditions
Your holiday contract
When you book a tour or other travel arrangements our contract with you takes effect when we send you a written confirmation /by info@tourmongolia.com this e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Once contract is made we are responsible for providing you with the tour you have booked and you are responsible to pay us for it, in each case subject to terms and conditions.
Please note
It is important to check carefully the written confirmation of your booking when you receive it, or if booking are late that all the details are exactly as you requested. Our responsibility is to provide you with the service you have booked as described in the itinerary and as confirmed to you. In parties of two or more people, the person who makes the tour booking by signing our booking form or otherwise contracting with us, accepts responsibility for making all payments to us for all members of the party. We will send all documents and other information to that person who will in turn be responsible for ensuring that the other members of the party are kept fully informed. If you are aged under 18 /on the date of departure/ and your parents of guardians are not travelling with you, they must write to us with their consent.
Prices
Once you have confirmed your booking the price of your tour is guaranteed and will not be subject to any surcharge.
Payments
Payment of the price of your tour is due:
a/ If you decide to book your tour program, we require you to pay 100 percent more than 3.5-4 months prior to departure.b/ Payment can be made by bank wire transfer. Bank details will be given to you in advance with our invoice.
Special requests
If you have any special request that does not form part of the tour as described in the itinerary /for example, dietary requirements or room location/ please let us know. We will always try to meet such requests, but cannot guarantee to do so. In no circumstances will such requests, be accepted by us to form part of our contractual obligations and we will not have a liability if they are not met.
Changes
If you want to change any of the details of your booking after we have sent you confirmation we will do our best to help. You must confirm any change in writing to us. /We recommend that letters are sent by e-mail/. If we are able to make the change there will be a charge. If you wish to make any changes whole on tour /e.g. upgrading your accommodation and staying alone in a Ger in the tourist camp/ all requests are subject to availability and any extra fees must be paid.
Cancellations
Cancellation will be calculated as set out below and will be notified to you by mail or e-mail within a week of cancellation. When the cancellation letter is received by us prior to departure charges as per person:
More than 8 weeks – 15 percent only
Less than 8 weeks – 30% of the tour fare
Less than 6 days – 100% of the tour fare
Complaints
If you have a complaint while you are on tour you must tell immediately your tour leader and guide, who will make every effort to resolve them. They will complete a report form with you giving details of your complaint and the action taken resolve it and you should keep a copy of this to keep. If after your tour, you will feel a complaint remains unresolved, you must tell Tour Mongolia about it in writing within 30 days. Complaints regarding any services not directly connected with Tour Mongolia, should be raised with the relevant supplier.
Liabilities
We accept full liability for the proper performance of our obligations under our agreement with you for the provision of your tour. If you suffer damage by our failure to perform or, our improper performance of our agreement with you for the provision of your tour we accept liability except in the following circumstances.
a/ If the failure or improper performances was due to the acts or omissions of the persons affected, or those of someone else not connected with the provision of your tour, and which were unforeseeable or unavoidable, or an event which either we or the supplier of the services in question could not have foreseen or avoided even with all the due care.
b/ If the failure or improper performances is your fault or the fault of any member of your party. We will not be liable for failure of performance or improper performance of the services and any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay of the transport, caused by force majeure. This means things beyond our control such us civil unrest, riot, government restriction, industrial dispute excluding our own employees, Act of god /such as natural disaster/, fire, disease or adverse weather conditions.
Before the commencement of the tour, you must arrange your own insurance with an insurer, with protection for the full duration of the tour, to cover personal injury, medical expanses, repatriation expenses, loss of baggage and the expenses associated with cancellation or curtailment of the tour. If you become ill during the tour, all hospital expenses, doctors’ fees and repatriation costs are your responsibility and we shall not be liable for any refund of the tour cost.
