Day 1: Oct 02. Ulgii

Depart from UB at 6:20am by Hunnu airlines and Arrive to Ulgii at 8:30am. We would pick up you from airport by our SUVs and then we would take you to our hotel. After you got your room you would have breakfast all together at 9:30am. (B/L/D)

Day 1-2: Oct 01,02 Eagle festival

It is going to be the most exciting 5 days. Are you ready?
After the breakfast at our hotel, we would move to Hunter’s hill at 10:15am in the morning which is the place where the eagle festival is going to be held. At this place we would give you the printed copy of itinerary of the eagle festival.Also we would give some information about the eagle festival just before you have your breakfast. At the hunter's hill you will not have interpreter or guide with you all the time. Because there is going to be only one guide for the group. But if you need assistance anytime you can go to our gers and call the guide on the radio. He would be right there. We would keep update you with the events happening there.
We have a ger (Ger means Nomad tent ) at Hunting hill, so anytime when you want, you can use the ger to rest or to get warmed up and have tea and coffee. We would have lunches in this gers.(Like the picture on the right) Dinners are in the town, in a restaurant. Let us know in advance if you need a private interpreter for these 2 days.But we do not recommend, coz just no need. (B/L/D)

Day 3: Oct 03 Nomadic culture & HuntingFestival

Today we are heading to an eagle hunter who lives in the countryside. We would drive through beautiful mountainous area via beautiful Tolbo lake to the destination. We would have some stops to get pictures of beautiful landscape pictures and the nature. On the way we would visit a shaman throat singer and we would stop at Tolbo village center, then to the eagle hunter. After the lunch, we would visit eagle hunters family where you would have chance to get in to the nomadic culture and would have deep knowledge of hunting with eagles. We would have time to shoot photos of beautiful Sair mountain (13000ft) from our camp and may have chances to ride horses close to our campsite. After the dinner we would have a small party! (B/L/D)

Day4: Oct 04 Hunting by Eagle

More exciting activities are waiting for you! After a big western style breakfast in our ger restaurant we would go for eagle hunting. It is like safari, that we would use our cars to get some mountains and on some places we would hike with the eagle hunter. Our eagle might catch fox, rabbit or other smaller animals. It is very rare that eagles catch wolf. We would drive up on the mountains while we would have chances to photograph incredible landscape photos. After the hunting we would have a bit late lunch and would drive futher to Khovd city which is gonna be 3 and half hours from the place where we are. We gonna stay at hotel for this night and would be ready for next day's flight back to UB. (B/L/D)

Day 5: Oct Departure

On Early morning after breakfast we would be ready for Departure. Transfer to the airport and fly 3hrs to Ulaanbaatar. (B)

Bayan-Ulgii aimag (province) is located in the West region of our country. It is bordered with Russia and China. 97% of the population is Kazakh whereas the rest 3% are Mongolian minority groups, such as Tuva, Uriankhai and Zakhchin. Kazakh life style and habits are differed from Mongolian due to different reasons. Most of the population is Muslim

Accommodation in a hotel or hostel in Ulaanbaatar, hotel extras, such as telephone calls, bar bills and laundry services, travel insurance, medical insurance, visa application fees, alcoholic beverages, personal expenses such as items of a personal nature, gratuity to local guides and drivers, airfare or train ticket, airport taxes, excess baggage charges (over 33pound / 15kilo), changes of arrival/departure flights, additional services, any charges of force majeure beyond our control (e.g. imposition, quarantine restrictions, etc.), optional excursions unless stated in your itinerary, etc…

7. Important notice

Since the trip will be in the mountainous, a high altitude region of Mongolia, and the weather can be very unpredictable and you might even experience snow, we suggest you bring the following:

Warm coat
Gloves
Scarf
Woolen hat
Long underwear / long johns
Woolen jumper
Woolen socks
Sleeping bag (for -10 to -15C)

Please bring the above in addition to your usual gear and items for such a trip. Only Russian jeeps /minivans are available in this region

Your holiday contract

When you book a tour or other travel arrangements our contract with you takes effect when we send you a written confirmation /by info@tourmongolia.com this e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Once contract is made we are responsible for providing you with the tour you have booked and you are responsible to pay us for it, in each case subject to terms and conditions.

Please note

It is important to check carefully the written confirmation of your booking when you receive it, or if booking are late that all the details are exactly as you requested. Our responsibility is to provide you with the service you have booked as described in the itinerary and as confirmed to you. In parties of two or more people, the person who makes the tour booking by signing our booking form or otherwise contracting with us, accepts responsibility for making all payments to us for all members of the party. We will send all documents and other information to that person who will in turn be responsible for ensuring that the other members of the party are kept fully informed. If you are aged under 18 /on the date of departure/ and your parents of guardians are not travelling with you, they must write to us with their consent.

Prices

Once you have confirmed your booking the price of your tour is guaranteed and will not be subject to any surcharge.

Payments

Payment of the price of your tour is due: a/ If you decide to book your tour program, we require you to pay 100 percent more than 3.5-4 months prior to departure.b/ Payment can be made by bank wire transfer. Bank details will be given to you in advance with our invoice.

Special requests

If you have any special request that does not form part of the tour as described in the itinerary /for example, dietary requirements or room location/ please let us know. We will always try to meet such requests, but cannot guarantee to do so. In no circumstances will such requests, be accepted by us to form part of our contractual obligations and we will not have a liability if they are not met.

Changes

If you want to change any of the details of your booking after we have sent you confirmation we will do our best to help. You must confirm any change in writing to us. /We recommend that letters are sent by e-mail/. If we are able to make the change there will be a charge. If you wish to make any changes whole on tour /e.g. upgrading your accommodation and staying alone in a Ger in the tourist camp/ all requests are subject to availability and any extra fees must be paid.

Cancellations

Cancellation will be calculated as set out below and will be notified to you by mail or e-mail within a week of cancellation. When the cancellation letter is received by us prior to departure charges as per person: More than 8 weeks – 15 percent only Less than 8 weeks – 30% of the tour fare Less than 6 days – 100% of the tour fare

Complaints

If you have a complaint while you are on tour you must tell immediately your tour leader and guide, who will make every effort to resolve them. They will complete a report form with you giving details of your complaint and the action taken resolve it and you should keep a copy of this to keep. If after your tour, you will feel a complaint remains unresolved, you must tell Tour Mongolia about it in writing within 30 days. Complaints regarding any services not directly connected with Tour Mongolia, should be raised with the relevant supplier.

Liabilities

We accept full liability for the proper performance of our obligations under our agreement with you for the provision of your tour. If you suffer damage by our failure to perform or, our improper performance of our agreement with you for the provision of your tour we accept liability except in the following circumstances. a/ If the failure or improper performances was due to the acts or omissions of the persons affected, or those of someone else not connected with the provision of your tour, and which were unforeseeable or unavoidable, or an event which either we or the supplier of the services in question could not have foreseen or avoided even with all the due care. b/ If the failure or improper performances is your fault or the fault of any member of your party. We will not be liable for failure of performance or improper performance of the services and any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay of the transport, caused by force majeure. This means things beyond our control such us civil unrest, riot, government restriction, industrial dispute excluding our own employees, Act of god /such as natural disaster/, fire, disease or adverse weather conditions. Before the commencement of the tour, you must arrange your own insurance with an insurer, with protection for the full duration of the tour, to cover personal injury, medical expanses, repatriation expenses, loss of baggage and the expenses associated with cancellation or curtailment of the tour. If you become ill during the tour, all hospital expenses, doctors’ fees and repatriation costs are your responsibility and we shall not be liable for any refund of the tour cost.
