Elsen Tasarhai is a unique landscape located in central Mongolia, about 280 kilometers southwest of Ulaanbaatar. It features a striking combination of sand dunes and rocky outcrops, creating a beautiful and diverse environment.
The area is sometimes called the "sand dunes of Mongolia" and is part of a larger region that includes the Khangai Mountains. It's a great spot for activities like hiking, camel riding, and photography, especially at sunset when the dunes take on a golden hue.
