Bogd Khaan national park, mountain

In 1783 the Mongolian government made Bogd Khaan Uul a national park to protect its beauty making Bogd Khaan Uul the oldest national park in the world. Its highest point is 2,757 m above sea level. Bogd Khaan Uul was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List on August 6, 1996 in the Cultural category. World Heritage sites are those that exhibit universal natural or cultural significance or both. At the front side foot of Bogd Khaan Uul national park you find the ruine of Manzushri monastery and the Zuun Mod sity, the capital of Tuv province. At the backfoot of Bogd Khaan Uul national park you see Zaisan hill, Buddha Park, Sky resort and Observatory.
